Joseph D. Kenney (born July 12, 1960) is an American politician and member of the Republican Party who represents District 1 of the Executive Council of New Hampshire. He previously served as a member of the New Hampshire Senate, representing the 3rd District from 2003 to 2009, and as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1995 until 2003.
Kenney ran for Governor of New Hampshire in 2008 and lost to incumbent Democratic Governor John Lynch in the general election.
His former State Senate seat re-opened in February 2009, when his successor William Denley resigned.〔http://www.concordmonitor.com/article/open-senate-seat-attracts-candidates〕 However, Kenney was unable to run because he had been called up for active service with the United States Marine Corps.〔http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090306/GJNEWS_01/703069866/-1/FOSNEWS0409〕
